It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but McMinn Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Chargers who were credited with the win. The McMinn Central Chargers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Brainerd Panthers's two. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 two weeks ago.

William Mayfield and Damian Jaimes scored both of McMinn Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

McMinn Central now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Brainerd, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7-1.

Coming up, McMinn Central will challenge Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something McMinn Central surely won't give up without a fight. Brainerd does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
