Softball Recap: Chico Comes Up Short

Chico lost against Nocona back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dragons came up short against the Indians, falling 9-2. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addyson Sides spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Chico saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Sides, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chico now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Nocona, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chico will square off against rival Alvord at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nocona is set to take on their familiar foe Lindsay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
