Plattsmouth waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Varsity Opponent. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Saturday.

Derek Nanke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Luke Jensen and Kaden Mink did most of the damage at the plate: Jensen got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Mink went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Mink's first of the season.

Plattsmouth's win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Plattsmouth has already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Ralston on the 14th. Hopefully Varsity Opponent paid attention to Plattsmouth's contest: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on Plattsmouth.
