Quincy was the 48-46 winner over Springport when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Quincy Orioles received a blow on Thursday as they fell 56-41 to the Springport Spartans.

Brandon Miner and Ryan Kempter certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Miner went 8-for-13 on his way to 19 points and five boards, while Kempter posted 11 points and five assists. Kempter is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Corey Turner was another key player, putting up nine points.

Springport found their leader in sophomore Tucker Wiginton, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wiginton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marshall Shoemaker, who put up ten points.

Quincy's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Springport, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Quincy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springport, they have already played their next game, a 58-47 defeat against Tecumseh on the 21st.
