Football Game Preview: West Warriors vs. Beverly Hills Normans + How To Watch

The West Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Beverly Hills Normans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West will be strutting in after a win while Beverly Hills will be coming in after a loss.

West took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hawthorne 42-6. That looming 42-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Ely, who picked up 17 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 44 yards. Those 44 rushing yards gave Ely a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Gobee, who threw for 58 yards and one TD.

West didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ely and Ibrahim Sultan. Ely got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Beverly Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against El Segundo, falling 59-0. While losing is never fun, the Normans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 1023rd, while the Eagles are ranked 278th).

West's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Beverly Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for West against Beverly Hills in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
