League recap: Johnson's hot bat leads LBJ Austin

4A Region IV District 26 league recap: 3/8/13

Zacharie Johnson was the hottest hitter in 4A Region IV District 26 this week, racking up a .556 average with nine RBIs. LBJ Austin compiled a record of 1-5 in that time.

Crockett had a successful week, as it won five total games to lead the league. The Cougars beat St. Stephen's Episcopal 3-1 and Seguin 8-3.

The Jaguars' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing five hits and one walk to lead the league in both categories.

There were three hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Zacharie Johnson, who hit .556 by going 15-for-27.

The top hitter in the league so far this season has been LBJ Austin's Johnson, who leads all players in average, hits and RBIs. This season Johnson has feasted on opponents pitching with a .548 average and ten RBIs thanks to 17 hits.



Nate Hattersley led Lehman to a win on February 26, as he notched nine strikeouts to beat the Jaguars, 4-0. He gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings of work.

Tristan Burt drove in four runners on Friday in LBJ Austin's 10-9 victory over Liberty Hill. He went 4-for-4 and scored two runs.
