Softball Recap: Sterling Golden Warriors vs. Quincy Blue Devils
Sterling won the last time they faced Quincy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Warriors blew past the Blue Devils 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Golden Warriors, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Lily Martinez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Martinez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Sterling got a big performance out of Lily Cantu, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Cantu's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaity Taylor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
