Volleyball Recap: Leander Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

If Lockhart wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Leander, they should've done a better job of containing Addison Cooper. Leander put the hurt on Lockhart with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday for which the team can thank Cooper, who had 27 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 12.8 assists per game.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-19.

Leander is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-20 record this season. As for Lockhart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-33.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Leander is set to challenge their familiar foe Lehman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lockhart will take on rival Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
