Volleyball Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Southridge Raiders
Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southridge Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.
Princeton actually scored more points across those five sets (109-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 28-30, 28-26, 10-25, 25-22, 15-6.
Despite the defeat, Princeton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abigail Wright had 16 digs.
Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Southridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Princeton will take on rival Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Boonville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
