Baseball Game Preview: Belmont Cardinals vs. Alcorn Central Bears

The Belmont Cardinals will take on the Alcorn Central Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Belmont came up short against Alcorn Central on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Alcorn Central's part, Jarrett Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Thomas is becoming a predictor of Alcorn Central's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
