Soccer Recap: Grapevine Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Grapevine was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 4-1 to the Birdville Hawks. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Grapevine's goal came courtesy of Brooke Turner, who's now up to two this season.

Grapevine's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3. As for Birdville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Grapevine will host Richland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Birdville, they will head out to take on Colleyville Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colleyville Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
