Volleyball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East lost against Clearwater back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aces took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Claire Buss paced East's offense, picking up 11 kills. Buss got some help from Birdie Buell and her 17 assists. Layla Larson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

East's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Clearwater, their win bumped their record up to 9-16-3.

East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Hesston on the 11th. As for Clearwater, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Trinity Academy on the 11th.
