Basketball Recap: Mcguffey Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for McGuffey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 69-65 victory over the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Highlanders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 54th).

McGuffey pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Keystone Oaks, they moved to 7-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

McGuffey will head out to face off against Sto-Rox at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Keystone Oaks, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles take on the South Park Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
