Basketball Recap: Dryden Comes Up Short

Dryden has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to Kingston at home by a 46-32 margin on Friday. The matchup marked Dryden's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kingston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin DeRoseau, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. DeRoseau is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Peyton Harrington was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight boards and six assists.

Dryden's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Kingston, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-5.

Looking ahead, Dryden will face off against Deckerville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kingston, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals duke it out with the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kingston is facing Mayville at the right time seeing as Mayville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
