Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Sanford's 12th in Last 14 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sanford had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Middletown Cavaliers as they made off with a 75-53 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Sanford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khareem Hart out in front who shot 53% from the field on his way to 21 points and eight boards. D.J. Jones was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Sanford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in five consecutive games.

Sanford is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points over those games. Middletown moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Sanford has already played their next matchup (against Cape Henlopen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Middletown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
