Soccer Game Preview: Buhler vs. Hutchinson

The Buhler Crusaders will head out to square off against the Hutchinson Salthawks on Monday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Buhler's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valley Center on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Buhler can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Valley Center are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hutchinson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Eisenhower by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Hutchinson haven't had any issues with Eisenhower recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

This is the second loss in a row for Buhler and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Hutchinson, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3-2.

Buhler might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Hutchinson in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
