Hilton Head Prep came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 49-22 stomp they got against the Battery Creek Dolphins.

Hilton Head Prep was led to victory by Courtney Campbell and Brooke Heins. Campbell posted 18 points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Heins almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine assists. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Campbell has scored at least a third of Hilton Head Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Cleary, who had 12 points.

Hilton Head Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Hilton Head Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Battery Creek, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Hilton Head Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. John Paul II will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Hilton Head Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Battery Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hampton County at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
