Basketball Recap: Sylmar Takes a Loss

Sylmar played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Calabasas Coyotes and fell 79-43. The Spartans were down 71-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Sylmar still got an impressive performance from Aaron Rollins, who posted 12 points. Thanks to that strong game, Rollins now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Andrew Galvez, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points.

Sylmar's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Calabasas, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Coming up, Sylmar will be home for the holidays to greet Van Nuys at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calabasas will take on Bernstein in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
