It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calvary Christian Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. Brendan Sabres by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Carlos Lugo and Braden Rosenthal stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lugo went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, while Rosenthal went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Rosenthal's first of the season.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10-3. As for St. Brendan, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-11.

While Calvary Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
