Baseball Recap: Manteca's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Manteca fell victim to Oakdale and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Buffaloes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Nate Slikker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on zero hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
