Volleyball Recap: Southern Coffey County Takes a Loss

Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yates Center Wildcats. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9.

Alexis Reidinger paced Southern Coffey County's offense, picking up four kills. Reidinger got some help from Cheyenne Dykee and her five assists.

Southern Coffey County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Yates Center, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6.

Southern Coffey County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Altoona-Midway on the 23rd. As for Yates Center, they will be taking part in a tournament against Maranatha Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
