Softball Recap: Berlin/New Lebanon Comes Up Short

Berlin/New Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hoosick Falls Panthers, falling 12-4.

Lilly Gardell (RPI) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Ada Hotaling ?29 also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Berlin/New Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hoosick Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Berlin/New Lebanon will square off against Mechanicville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mountain Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Hoosick Falls, they will face off against Schuylerville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
