Basketball Game Preview: York Country Day vs. Christian School of York

York Country Day is 9-0 against Christian School of York since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. York Country Day just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face Christian School of York at 7:30 p.m. York Country Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Christian School of York likes a good challenge.

York Country Day is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Mount Calvary Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that York Country Day blew Mount Calvary Christian out of the water with an 87-30 final score. York Country Day has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead York Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah White, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Sincere Burgos, who put up 14 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christian School of York). They claimed a resounding 61-34 win over Harrisburg Academy. The victory was some much needed relief for Christian School of York as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Christian School of York's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for York Country Day, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Everything came up roses for York Country Day against Christian School of York when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 67-20 win. In that game, York Country Day amassed a halftime lead of 52-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
