Football Game Preview: Emerson vs. Weehawken

On Friday Weehawken take on Emerson at 7:00 PM. The odds don't look promising for Weehawken, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.

Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Weehawken, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They were able to grind out a solid victory over Bogota last Saturday, winning 38-28. No one put up better numbers for Weehawken than senior Jimmy Lopez, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Emerson had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 13-6 win over Wood-Ridge.
