Football Game Preview: Jefferson Cougars vs. John Champe Knights + Official Tickets

The Jefferson Cougars will face off against the John Champe Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jefferson comes in on four and John Champe on three.

Jefferson had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 25-point drubbing they dealt Musselman on Friday. The Cougars blew past the Applemen 39-14.

Meanwhile, John Champe made easy work of Lightridge on Friday and carried off a 23-3 victory.

Jefferson better keep an eye on Tyler Kann. He was instrumental in John Champe's win, rushing for 41 yards, while also picking up 34 receiving yards. Kann also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

John Champe's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Jefferson, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
