St. Michael-Albertville won the last time they faced Brainerd and things went their way on Saturday too. The Knights walked away with a 9-5 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Blake Klinkhammer looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Taylan Siens and Grady Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Siens went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Johnson went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Johnson a new career-high. Ethan Senesac also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

St. Michael-Albertville's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Brainerd, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Michael-Albertville and Brainerd will both be playing Moorhead the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Spuds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
