Softball Recap: St. Clair County Fighting Saints vs. Springville Tigers
After flying high against Clay-Chalkville on Tuesday, St. Clair County came back down to earth. The Fighting Saints came up short against the Springville Tigers on Thursday, falling 10-1. The Fighting Saints were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matches prior), but the Tigers' pitcher proved too tough.
St. Clair County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aniyah Dean, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
St. Clair County's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-14-1. As for Springville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-3-1 record this season.
