Volleyball Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

Westminster came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Boulder Panthers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since March 18th.

Westminster took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

Briley Her paced Westminster's offense, picking up nine kills. Her got some help from Adrian Vannavong and his six assists. Finally, Gian Guerrero kept Westminster's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Westminster's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Boulder, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.

Westminster has already played their next contest (against Alameda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Boulder, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Legacy on the 10th.
