Football Game Preview: Cornwall Central Dragons vs. Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors

For the first time this season, Cornwall Central will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to take on the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Cornwall Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 7-3 to Monroe-Woodbury. The loss put an end to the Dragons' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of Lourdes came up short against Goshen Central on Friday and fell 48-36. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Our Lady of Lourdes now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cornwall Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Cornwall Central against Our Lady of Lourdes in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
