Basketball Recap: Susquenita Takes a Loss

Susquenita was the 46-39 winner over Juniata when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Susquenita Blackhawks took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Juniata Indians on Thursday. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Susquenita lost, don't look at Ryan Schoppy. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 boards. Dylan Trimmer was another key player, putting up four points.

Susquenita's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Juniata, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Susquenita has already played their next game (against West Perry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Juniata will take on Millersburg at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Millersburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.
