Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Indians vs. Canton Eagles

The Sanger Indians will take on the Canton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sanger knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Canton likes a good challenge.

Sanger is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They slipped by Roosevelt 72-71. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Mustangs are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Canton posted their closest win since December 31, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Sunnyvale 43-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Sanger, they pushed their record up to 25-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
