Softball Recap: Shea Comes Up Short

Shea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 22-5 to the Narragansett Mariners.

Laurel Christian was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Genesis Morales was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Shea's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Narragansett, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Shea will take on Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.9 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Narragansett, they have already played their next matchup, a 19-11 loss against South Kingstown on the 28th.
