Baseball Recap: Kinston Comes Up Short

Kinston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 23-6 to the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Tuesday.

Kinston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kinston will host North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will welcome Pender at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
