Soccer Recap: Gulf Shores Comes Up Short

Gulf Shores was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Spanish Fort Toros. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Dolphins couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Nathan Duhel, who's now up to three this season.

Gulf Shores' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-2. As for Spanish Fort, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-3 record this season.

Gulf Shores will challenge Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spanish Fort, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bayside Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spanish Fort is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
