South Lyon East has gone a perfect 5-0 against Walled Lake Western recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
South Lyon East gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Detroit Country Day 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Paulina Ankawi (2025) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Meredith Mullan (2025) was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Sierra Przysiecki (2027), who earned three runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Walled Lake Western came into Saturday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Detroit Country Day by a score of 7-2 on Saturday.
Walled Lake Western also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Audrianna Thorsell gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Walled Lake Western got a massive performance out of Sierra Geisler, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Maddi Bancroft was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and one stolen base.
Walled Lake Western lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Walled Lake Western's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for South Lyon East, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.
