Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Screven County

Savannah came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Screven County, but LeVez Roper wouldn't allow it. The Gamecocks came out on top against the Bluejackets by a score of 84-73 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Roper, who shot 48% from the field on his way to 33 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played.

The win was the fifth in a row for Screven County, bringing their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for Savannah, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.
