Baseball Game Preview: Virgin Valley Bulldogs vs. Canyon Springs Pioneers

For the second straight game, Virgin Valley will face off against Canyon Springs. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Pioneers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Virgin Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Virgin Valley not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th. Everything went their way against Canyon Springs as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won seven in a row.

Daxton Noel looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cade Litzenberger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Goodsell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Canyon Springs' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Virgin Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
