Basketball Recap: Bishop Diego Gets the Win

Bishop Diego can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They slipped by the Cate Rams 63-62. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 60-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bishop Diego's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Cate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Bishop Diego will take on Arroyo Grande in a tournament on Friday. Arroyo Grande has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cate, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Bonaventure at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
