Basketball Recap: Bethesda Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bethesda Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Israel Wright. The Bethesda Academy Blazers took down the Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels 55-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Wright, who went 9 of 14 en route to 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high.

Assir Best was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six assists and six boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Bethesda Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Thomas Heyward Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Bethesda Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-36 loss against Hilton Head Prep on the 29th. Thomas Heyward Academy has also already played their next contest, a 54-50 win against Andrew Jackson Academy on the 30th.
