            Baseball Recap: Wellington Wolverines vs. West Boca Raton Bulls        
        
		
        
        
            Wellington made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Boca Raton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines were the clear victors by  a  10-2 margin over the Bulls on Thursday. With that  victory, the Wolverines brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.

 Cristian Goncalves was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ari Buckstein, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Wellington was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Boca Raton only posted a  batting average of  .208.
The  win (which was Wellington's third in a row) raised their record to 14-7. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Boca Raton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington will take on Palm Beach Central at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for West Boca Raton, they will venture away from home to  take on St. Thomas Aquinas  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed three  runs per game  this season, so the Bulls' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
