After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodlake, Strathmore was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Corcoran Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Considering the Spartans have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Gracie Gillis, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Corcoran off the board. Gillis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
