Basketball Recap: Hewitt-Trussville Takes a Loss

Hewitt-Trussville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Mountain Eagles on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 49-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Hewitt-Trussville's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Oak Mountain, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hewitt-Trussville will face off against Vestavia Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Mountain, they will challenge Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
