Basketball Recap: Quitman Takes a Loss

Quitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 54-34 to the Winona Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-31 back in December of 2024.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Winona, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.

Quitman will welcome Eustace at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Quitman is facing Eustace at the right time seeing as Eustace is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Winona, they are taking a road trip to face off against Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Edgewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
