Volleyball Recap: Cora Jo Buck Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Texas City + How To Watch

Ball's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Texas City Stingarees with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Stingarees: they've now won six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-21, 25-15.

Ball's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cora Jo Buck, who had 13 digs and five assists. That's the most assists Buck has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Emma Buck, who had four aces and three digs.

Ball was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They are 5-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Ball's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Texas City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

Coincidentally, Ball and Texas City will both be playing Santa Fe the next time they take the court. The Stingarees will head out to face the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tornadoes will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
