Soccer Recap: Mill Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dacula last Tuesday, Mill Creek came back down to earth. The Mill Creek Hawks fell just short of the North Oconee Titans by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Mill Creek's goal came courtesy of Maci Halama, which was the first she's scored this season.

Mill Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for North Oconee, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Mill Creek and North Oconee should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Mill Creek (ranked 54th) will meet Discovery (ranked 316th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, North Oconee will take on Flowery Branch at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 292 places (15 vs. 307).
