Soccer Game Preview: Kimberly vs. Hortonville

The Kimberly Papermakers will square off against the Hortonville Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kimberly's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Kimberly is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Bay Port on Saturday. The Papermakers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. That's two games in a row now that Kimberly have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Hortonville strolled into their game on Saturday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let Marshfield get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Hortonville, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Marshfield from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Roman Glad led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Hortonville's victory bumped their record up to 15-0-1. As for Kimberly, they now have a losing record of 4-5-4.
