Baseball Recap: Vista Del Lago Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Vista del Lago entered their tilt with Ponderosa on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bruins, sneaking past 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 5-3 victory last Thursday.

Carson Kocina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Vista del Lago saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Asher Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Vista del Lago's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
