Basketball Recap: Hillsborough Comes Up Short

Hillsborough and East Bay squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Hillsborough had to settle for second. They were beaten by the East Bay Indians 70-36. The Terriers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it ten in a row.

East Bay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamardea Anderson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Curry Staples was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for East Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Hillsborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Bay, they will square off against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Bay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
