Slater came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Sturgeon Bulldogs. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

The team relied heavily on Tytan Wiseman, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Slater pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sturgeon, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slater will head out to square off against Northeast at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sturgeon, they will venture away from home to take on Salisbury at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
