Football Recap: Island Coast Comes Up Short

Island Coast was the 36-6 winner over Golden Gate when they last played one another back in November of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Gators came up short against the Titans on Friday, falling 29-6. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Island Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Golden Gate, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Island Coast is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Golden Gate, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gulf Coast at 7:30 p.m. on September 12.
